Wet dust collector is a common air pollution control technology, also known as wet exhaust gas desulfurization and denitrification dust collector. Wet dust collector is mainly used in the case of high humidity, high viscosity and high dust content in the flue gas, spray gas and water in full contact mixing, under the action of water, solid particles and some gaseous pollutants are adsorbed on the water droplets, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying the air.
The wet dust collector is mainly composed of air intake pipe, water spraying system, packing layer, sink and bottom pool. The flue gas entering the wet dust collector passes through the water spraying system, the atomized substance mixes with the flue gas into the packing layer, and the flue gas and atomized water meet in the packing layer to change the flow direction, resulting in humidity and cooling effect, and adsorption of solid particles. In the following process, the resulting retention force and intense turbulence collect the solid particles to the bottom of the tank. The pollutants in the gas are removed through chemical reactions or oxidation, and finally discharged into the clean air.
Wet dust collector has many advantages, including:
1. High dust removal efficiency: Because the wet dust collector has good humidity and cooling effect, it can make the absorbed particles more stable, and the filter effect will be better.
2. Removal of pollutants: The wet dust collector can remove pollutants, such as sulfur dioxide, etc., so that the flue gas emissions are cleaner.
3. Strong adaptability: wet dust collector has strong adaptability and can handle flue gas of different nature.
4. Corrosion resistance: wet dust collector is generally made of corrosion-resistant materials, can resist acid, alkali and other corrosive substances, long service life.
Wet dust collector also has some disadvantages, mainly including:
1. Need a lot of water: wet dust collector needs to spray water and smoke mixed, so it will consume a lot of water resources.
2, occupy a large space: wet dust collector volume is large, need to occupy a certain space, the installation cost is high.
3. High maintenance cost: wet dust collector needs frequent maintenance and cleaning, and the nozzle and other parts are easy to damage, and the maintenance cost is high.
In general, wet dust removal technology is one of the common technologies in the field of air pollution control. Although there are some shortcomings, but the advantages are also very significant, can effectively purify the flue gas, improve environmental quality, but also worth our extensive application in production.
